曹志建 教授

Professor Cao Zhijian

曹志建，男，文学博士，法学博士后，西南政法大学外语学院党委书记、副教授。中国翻译协会法律翻译委员会副主任委员、中国英汉语比较研究会法律语言学专业委员会副主任、重庆外文学会常务理事。主要从事英语专业教学，主讲阅读、听力、翻译、法律英语等课程。

研究领域为翻译理论与实践、法律英语。主持省部级项目4项，中国博士后科学基金面上项目1项，主研国家社科基金项目5项，国家社科基金中华学术外译项目2项，教育部人文社科项目6项，荣获校级教学成果奖1项。近年来出版著作9部（《最高人民法院案例选》（英文版）（2-4辑）、《中华人民共和国民法典》（英文版）等），发表学术论文5篇。

Cao Zhijian, male, Ph.D. in Art and Post-doc Research Fellow in Law, is the CPC Party Secretary and Associate Professor, and Supervisor for Candidates of MTI and Translation Programs at the School of Foreign Languages, Southwest University of Political Science and Law (Chongqing). He is the Deputy Director of the Legal Translation Committee, Translators Association of China, Deputy Director of the Professional Committee of Legal Linguistics, China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese, and Executive Council Member of Chongqing Foreign Languages Association. Professor Cao teaches courses such as English Reading, Listening, Translation, and Legal English, and serves as a program coordinator as well.

Professor Cao’s research mainly focuses on Translation Theory and Practice and Legal English. He has presided 4 provincial/ministerial-level projects and 1 China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Fund Project, participated in 5 National Social Science Foundation projects, 2 National Social Science Foundation Chinese Academic Translation Projects, and 6 Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences projects. In recent years, Professor Cao has published 9 books, including Selected Cases of the Supreme People’s Court (English Edition) (Volumes 2-4) and the Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China (English Edition) and 5 representative academic papers.
